About the Greeter Position: The role of the Greeter will serve to enhance the guest and waitstaff experience by acting as a warm and welcoming face of the restaurants delivering on an excellent level of service and hospitality. The Greeter welcomes and directs guests throughout the dining areas, records guest preferences, and anticipates upcoming reservations. The Greeter will act as the initial liaison to the restaurant.
Greeter Responsibilities Include:
- Enhance the guest experience with positive interactions, acting as the face of the restaurant to all guests, greeting them as they come and go.
- Familiarity with upcoming reservations each service.
- Directs and escorts guests to tables.
- Pull out chairs and adjust tables to make guests comfortable.
- Audits menus to make sure they are presentable.
- Manages and alerts the team appropriately about special occasions, food allergies, and other notable information.
- Tracks guests’ progress through the steps of service.
- Awareness of server sections and equalizing of distribution of guest volume.
- Assist guests with all requests, including but not limited to private event inquiries, meeting spaces, potential partnerships, and special circumstances.
- Coordinate with other restaurant events to avoid booking conflicts.
Greeter Requirements Include:
- Experience in a fast-paced restaurant setting.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Knowledge of the hospitality industry.
- Good organizational skills.
- Effective communication skills.
- Comply with all local, state, and federal liquor laws and regulations and enforce these regulations with all service staff.
- Must have valid New Mexico Servers License.
Additional Duties:
- Read and abide by all handbook policies and training manual procedure
- Assist coworkers with setup and break down of events, be flexible with daily assignments and shifts as needed.
- Attend trainings and classes to refine menu knowledge and service skills.
- Assist with offsite events as they become available.
Skills Required:
- Ability to use POS system and other service-related software systems
- Ability to work under pressure and deal with stressful situations during busy periods and in a high-volume environment
- Must have physical ability stand and walk for prolonged times, lift heavy objects, climb stairs, and sometimes work in the heat.
