Minimum Hiring Wage: From $25.14 per hour Job Details: Scheduled Hours: Days/ Evenings. Occasional Weekends. $15,000 Sign on Bonus for Eligible Candidates! Job Description: A Brief Overview Preventing, evaluating, diagnosing, treating, and rehabilitating injuries in athletes/patients, working closely with coaches, medical staff and physicians to ensure athletes/patients can safely return to competition/work by providing emergency care, developing injury prevention programs, and managing rehabilitation plans for injured athletes/patients. What you will do Assess, evaluate and rehabilitate athletes/patients physical and mental abilities, review available medical record, and analyze medical data to determine realistic athletic training goals for athletes/patients. Plan, organize and conduct athletic training programs in hospital, outpatient clinic, institutional or community setting to rehabilitate athletes/patients impaired due to illness, injury or psychological or developmental problems. Select activities that will help athletes’/patients' skill, agility, function & readiness to play, and life-management skills within limits of their mental and physical capabilities. Evaluate athletes'/patients' progress and prepare reports that detail progress. Complete and maintain necessary records. Education and train caregivers how to provide for the needs of an athlete/patient during and after therapy. Recommend changes in athletes/patients practice, school, work or living environments, consistent with their needs and capabilities. Develop and participate in health promotion programs, group activities, or discussions to promote health, facilitate social adjustment, alleviate stress, and prevent physical or mental disability. Consult with your team to select activity programs and coordinate athletic training program with other therapeutic activities or programs. Plan and implement programs and social activities to help athletes/patients learn work and school skills and adjust to impairments. Qualifications: Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in Arts/Sciences (BA/BS) bachelor’s degree in athletic training Required or Master’s degree in Arts/Sciences (MA/MS) master's degree in athletic training preferred Preferred less than 1 year field experience Preferred Knowledge of the information and techniques needed to diagnose and treat human injuries, diseases, and deformities. This includes symptoms, treatment alternatives, drug properties and interactions, and preventive health-care measures. Knowledge of human behavior and performance; individual differences in ability, personality, and interests; learning and motivation. Knowledge of principles and methods for education and instruction for individuals and groups. Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction. Giving full attention to what other people are saying, taking time to understand the points being made, asking questions as appropriate, and not interrupting at inappropriate times. Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems. Monitoring/Assessing performance of yourself, other individuals, or departments to make improvements or take corrective action. Communicating effectively in writing, e.g. patient documentation, e-mail, letters, as appropriate for the needs of the audience. The ability to communicate information and ideas verbally so others will understand.
