Schedule: Per Diem, As Needed, Weekends As Needed, Non-Benefit Eligible
Job Summary:
The CT Technologist will perform computed tomography procedures while adhering to established guidelines and assisting in the training of new technologists; will work under the supervision of the lead/charge technologist and modality medical director. The CT Technologist will:
- Perform all technical procedures within the respective modality sections as described in the Radiology Policy Manual.
- Meet the technical competency requirements for the position.
- Maintain an effective working relationship with all staff.
- Participate in professional education programs, patient/staff safety initiatives, and quality assurance/ improvement activities.
Required Knowledge & Skills:
- Education and Experience: Documented training and experience in radiography; Documented training and experience in CT preferred
- Certification/Licensure:
- Current BLS certification; and
- Current Massachusetts BCEH Computed Tomography (Full/General) license; and
- Current Massachusetts BCEH (Full/General) license in Radiography, and/or Nuclear Medicine, and/or Radiation Therapy; and
- Current ARRT registered certification in Computed Tomography with RT(CT) designation*; and
- Current ARRT registered certification in Radiography, and/or Nuclear Medicine, and/or Radiation Therapy
- Software/Hardware:
- Imaging acquisition, processing, reviewing, sending, and retrieving equipment (hardware and software)
- Hospital information system equipment (hardware and software)
- Communication equipment (e.g., fax, telephone, email, etc.)
