What You’ll Do

As a Light Service Technician, you will provide roadside assistance and accident support services to stranded motorists and assist first responders. Your main responsibilities include:

- Perform light roadside services such as jump-starts, tire changes, fuel delivery, and lockouts.
- Assist with light extractions of vehicles that are not severely stuck, using the proper tools and techniques to ensure safe removal.
- Assist at accident scenes, providing traffic control, cleaning up debris, and ensuring scene safety.
- Support tow truck operators and recovery specialists in clearing accident scenes.
- Maintain a clean and stocked service vehicle, ensuring all equipment is in good working condition.
- Follow all federal, state, and local driving laws—keep your driving record spotless.
- Deliver excellent customer service with a positive, helpful attitude, ensuring customers feel safe and supported.
- Submit service reports and process payments promptly after job completion.
- Maintain communication with dispatch to ensure efficient service.
- Be flexible and ready to assist in additional tasks as needed.

What We’re Looking For

- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Valid Maine Driver’s License (Class C or greater) with a clean driving record.
- Ability to quickly learn and perform roadside assistance tasks (training will be provided).
- Must live close enough to respond after hours when needed.
- A clean-cut, professional appearance—you represent 201 Service.
- Strong communication skills and a commitment to customer service.
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Must pass background and drug tests in line with company policies.

Physical Requirements

- Ability to lift 80-100 lbs and perform physically demanding tasks.
- Must be able to stand for extended periods and work in various weather conditions, including rain, snow, and extreme temperatures.
- Ability to work in environments with moving vehicles and traffic while ensuring safety.

Tools and Equipment

- You will be provided with a fully equipped service vehicle, including tools for tire changes, jump-starts, fuel delivery, lockouts, and light vehicle extractions.
- Traffic control equipment such as reflective vests, cones, and flares will be provided for accident scene safety.
- Clean-up tools for accident debris management will also be available.

Advancement Path

- This role provides a pathway to move into positions such as Tow Truck Operator, Recovery Specialist, or even leadership roles within the company as you grow and gain experience.

Work Schedule

- Flexible schedule with options for day, night, and weekend shifts.
- Nights and weekends are commission-based, providing the chance to boost your earnings with each job—the more work you complete, the more you earn.
