Assistant General Manager

202 Cannabis Co. is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Assistant General Manager to help lead operations at our licensed New York State Retail Dispensary.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the General Manager in overseeing day-to-day store functions, with a strong emphasis on inventory management, staff supervision, and operational excellence.
  • Drive team performance, ensure compliance, and deliver an exceptional customer experience.

Management Responsibilities:

Staff Management and Training

  • IDentify staffing needs, interview and hire store staff as needed, terminate employees as needed.
  • Develop and manage staff work schedules to ensure adequate coverage.
  • Ensure proper training for all new staff and empower trained staff in their roles.
  • Conduct regular performance evaluations for staff, providing constructive feedback and opportunities for improvement.
  • Organize regular training sessions with brands to educate staff on new products, industry trends, and customer service best practices.

Store Operations, Security, and Safety Protocols

  • Implement and enforce security measures to safeguard products, cash, and maintain a secure dispensary environment.
  • Ensure proper store opening and closing procedures, including opening and closing of registers.
  • Ensure cleanliness and upkeep of store and merchandising spaces.

Bookkeeping and Administrative

  • Ensure timely payment of all invoices and accurate tracking of expenses in purchase journal.
  • Coordinate with CPA on all tax obligations to ensure timely payment of money owed.
  • Coordinate biweekly payroll on Paycor.

Inventory Management:

  • Implement and maintain effective inventory management procedures to ensure accurate stock levels.
  • Conduct regular audits to verify the accuracy of inventory records.
  • Monitor and analyze inventory performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.

Qualifications:

  • 5 years supervisory experience in a similar role in a cannabis or retail environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong computer skills and familiarity with inventory management systems.
  • Excellent leadership and interpersonal abilities.
  • Experience and proficiency in use retail inventory management software.

Compensation and Benefits:

  • $50,000 - $55,000 per annum incentives.
