Assistant General Manager
202 Cannabis Co. is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Assistant General Manager to help lead operations at our licensed New York State Retail Dispensary.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the General Manager in overseeing day-to-day store functions, with a strong emphasis on inventory management, staff supervision, and operational excellence.
- Drive team performance, ensure compliance, and deliver an exceptional customer experience.
Management Responsibilities:
Staff Management and Training
- IDentify staffing needs, interview and hire store staff as needed, terminate employees as needed.
- Develop and manage staff work schedules to ensure adequate coverage.
- Ensure proper training for all new staff and empower trained staff in their roles.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations for staff, providing constructive feedback and opportunities for improvement.
- Organize regular training sessions with brands to educate staff on new products, industry trends, and customer service best practices.
Store Operations, Security, and Safety Protocols
- Implement and enforce security measures to safeguard products, cash, and maintain a secure dispensary environment.
- Ensure proper store opening and closing procedures, including opening and closing of registers.
- Ensure cleanliness and upkeep of store and merchandising spaces.
Bookkeeping and Administrative
- Ensure timely payment of all invoices and accurate tracking of expenses in purchase journal.
- Coordinate with CPA on all tax obligations to ensure timely payment of money owed.
- Coordinate biweekly payroll on Paycor.
Inventory Management:
- Implement and maintain effective inventory management procedures to ensure accurate stock levels.
- Conduct regular audits to verify the accuracy of inventory records.
- Monitor and analyze inventory performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
Qualifications:
- 5 years supervisory experience in a similar role in a cannabis or retail environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong computer skills and familiarity with inventory management systems.
- Excellent leadership and interpersonal abilities.
- Experience and proficiency in use retail inventory management software.
Compensation and Benefits:
- $50,000 - $55,000 per annum incentives.
