With in-store shopping, pre-order, drive-through pickup, and plans for home delivery, we aim to provide a seamless and educational shopping experience for our customers.

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Dispensary General Manager to lead and oversee daily operations at our Haverstraw location.

The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, deep knowledge of retail best practices, and a passion for customer service.

Candidates need not have direct cannabis retail experience. Applicants with any retail and hospitality management background are encouraged to apply for an interview. Familiarity with cannabis products and New York cannabis rules preferred, but quick learner a must!

This role requires a hands-on leader who can inspire a team, communicate clearly, ensure regulatory compliance, and drive sales performance, in an fast-moving and evolving environment.

Key Responsibilities

1. Store Operations Management

• Oversee daily operations, including opening and closing procedures, inventory management, and cash handling.
• Ensure compliance with New York State cannabis regulations, including age verification, purchase limits, and accurate record-keeping.
• Manage product displays, cleanliness, and overall store appearance.

2. Leadership and Staff Management

• Recruit, train, and manage a team of supervisors, budtenders, inventory, and support staff.
• Implement shifts and staff scheduling.
• Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide ongoing training on product knowledge and compliance.
• Foster a positive and inclusive work environment that aligns with 202 Cannabis Company's mission.

3. Inventory and Compliance

• Ensure maintainance of accurate inventory records and conduct regular audits to prevent discrepancies.
• Oversee inventory team with product intake, labeling, and secure storage in compliance with state regulations.
• Utilize point-of-sale (POS) systems to track sales and ensure compliance with state reporting requirements.

4. Customer Experience

• Provide exceptional customer service, including personalized product recommendations and education.
• Address customer inquiries and resolve issues promptly and professionally.
• Implement marketing and customer loyalty programs, within compliance with the law, and gather feedback to enhance the shopping experience.

5. Sales and Financial Management

• Meet or exceed sales targets by driving marketing, developing promotions, and training staff on upselling products.
• Work with management and consultants to prepare daily, weekly, and monthly sales reports for ownership review.
• Manage budgets, payroll, and cash deposits efficiently.

6. Community Engagement

• Act as a brand ambassador by representing 202 Cannabis Company at local events.
• Support community initiatives and ensure contributions to the New York cannabis community and ecosystem.

Ideal Candidate Qualifications:

• Experience: 4 years of management experience in retail, hospitality, or a cannabis dispensary.
• Knowledge: Prior retail management experience, including overseeing store operations, staff supervision, inventory control, and sales performance.
• Compliance: Familiarity with New York State cannabis regulations and compliance requirements.
• Skills: Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills. Proficiency in point of sale and inventory systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
• High school diploma or equivalent (required).
• Must be 21 years old.
