Program Coordinator (medical student education coordinator) The Coordinator of Medical Education CQI works, under the direction of the SEMC Academic Dean, to implement strategy and support decision-making related the school’s academic affiliations, medical education CQI priorities, and adherence with accreditation requirements promulgated by the Liaison Committee on Medical Education (LCME). The successful candidate will have a proven track record of directing complex, high-profile, multi-stakeholder projects; providing strategic insight into and tactical direction related to meeting accreditation requirements; establishing and sustaining CQI processes; and creating a positive and inclusive work environment, with high standards of excellence. The Coordinator, under the guidance of the SEMC Academic Dean manages affiliation agreements, faculty appointments, and maintains compliance with accreditation requirements, helps to coordinate the faculty development and resident-as-educator trainings, and provides project management support for educational research collaborations. *Facilitates, under the direction of the SEMC Academic Dean, the coordination of academic appointments and promotions through the affiliated medical school(s) *Implements, under the direction of the SEMC Academic Dean, the strategic and tactical direction for clerkship optimization through faculty development, curriculum improvement, and evaluation analysis and project management *Engages, under the direction of the SEMC Academic Dean, with the clerkship directors to monitor systems and processes and promote CQI *Oversees, under the direction of the SEMC Academic Dean, the CQI plan, managing the collection, analysis, and synthesis of pertinent accreditation and quality improvement data for communication and required reporting to relevant stakeholders *Ensures, under the direction of the SEMC Academic Dean, all LCME accreditation requirements are documented and processed in accordance with established timelines and policy, including completing annual reporting requirements and participating in midyear clerkship evaluations *Facilitates the distribution of training materials, and coordinates the scheduling of the departmental and hospital wide presentations of the SEMC Academic Dean * Manages, under the direction of the Academic Dean, the medical student accounting, and funds flow from the medical schools *Clerkship Coordinator for Neurology *Contributes to the development of relevant policies and procedures *Other job-related duties as assigned Required Qualifications: A master's degree or a bachelor’s degree plus 3 years of progressive responsibility preferred but not required. Candidates should be proficient in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Demonstrated project management expertise. Excellent writing, analytic, documentation, organizational, and presentation skills. Additional Qualifications: Prior experience within an academic healthcare or University setting is desirable. Ability to navigate complex institutions and multiple stakeholders. Poise under pressure.
