Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Diesel Mechanic to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing routine maintenance, repairs, and diagnostic work on a variety of diesel-powered vehicles, including tractors and trailers. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automotive and diesel technology and be proficient in using schematics and troubleshooting techniques.

Responsibilities:

- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on diesel-powered vehicles, including oil changes, brake adjustments, and tire rotations.
- Conduct diagnostic tests to identify and repair mechanical issues with vehicles, including electrical and HVAC systems.
- Utilize schematics and technical manuals to troubleshoot and repair complex problems.
- Ensure all work is completed to the highest standards and is in compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
- Keep accurate records of all work performed, including maintenance and repairs.
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure that all vehicles are in good working condition and that any issues are quickly identified and addressed.
- Perform equipment repair and maintenance as needed.
- Conduct brake repairs and perform brake system inspections.
- Perform routine checks on vehicles to identify any potential issues before they become major problems.

Qualifications:

- A degree in diesel mechanics or a related field is preferred.
- Must have at least 4 years of experience as a diesel mechanic.
- Possess a valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
- Must be physically fit and able to lift heavy objects.
- Experience with tractor-trailers is a plus.
- Proficiency in using automotive diagnostic software is a plus.
- Familiarity with schematics and the ability to use them to troubleshoot and repair mechanical issues is required.
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills are required.
- Must be committed to safety and follow all safety procedures and guidelines.
- Must be willing to work overtime as needed.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: From $1,500.00 per week

Schedule:

  • Day shift
  • Evening shift
  • Night shift
  • Weekends as needed
