JOB SUMMARY

To support the Goods Inwards and production in process Inspection.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• To work closely with Quality and production personnel to carryout Inspections of material and finished assemblies against drawings and industry and company standards.
• To produce Certificates of Conformity for finished assemblies.
• To liaise with Quality/Production and stores staff, to ensure Inspections are carried out in accordance with company standards and drawing requirements.
• To identify defects, deviations, and non-conformities in finished assemblies and materials.
• To work closely with QA personnel to support Production and Customer Services activity to ensure that all material is inspected and passed through in a timely manner.
• To provide goods inwards inspection resource, utilizing the company’s systems.
• Record inspection results, maintain detailed reports, and complete quality checklists.
• Comply with Cubic’s Quality Management System
• Comply with Cubic Occupational Health, Safety and Environment policies and procedures.
• Comply with security in accordance with established policies and procedures of the organizations.
• In addition to the duties and responsibilities listed, the jobholder is required to perform other duties assigned by the supervisor/manager from time to time, as may be reasonably required of them.

KEY REQUIREMENTS (Skills, knowledge, qualifications, and experience)

Essential:

• Experience gained within an Inspection environment.
• Ability to read blueprints and mechanical drawings.
• Knowledge of Inspection techniques.
• Proficiency in using measuring equipment, e.g. Verniers, height gauges, etc.
• Understanding of manufacturing processes.
• Proficiency in QC Reporting & Documentation.

Desirable:

• Associate or Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field (e.g., Engineering, Manufacturing, or Quality Assurance).
• City and Guilds/NVQ in an engineering discipline.
• Basic understanding of ISO 9001.
