An email will be sent you regarding your interview status within 7 business days of the submission of your application, and should an interview be granted, a reminder email will be sent 24-48 hours prior to the date of the fair as well. Please ensure that you're able to receive our emails, as all information regarding the event will be communicated via email.
Within 7 business days of registering (by completing the online application for employment and applying for the "Job Fair Registration 2025" posting), you will receive an email confirming the receipt of your application from jobfair@rcps.info, as well as additional details regarding the fair. As the fair approaches, we will email you the assigned time of your 30 minute interview for the job fair. ALL applicants to the job fair will receive an email either confirming an interview time, or indicating ineligibility for an interview.
Applicants must hold - or be eligible for - a Virginia teaching license with an appropriate elementary, K-12, or secondary endorsement. Interview preference will be given to fully licensed candidates with five-year or ten-year renewable licenses.
If you do not currently hold a teaching license, but will be completing an approved program in 2024 from which you will receive a teaching license, please indicate the type of license you will hold upon your graduation from that program ("Collegiate Professional", "Postgraduate Professional", etc) on your application.
We strongly recommend electronically attaching a copy of your teaching credential and/or transcripts to your application, as those items are critical in determining your licensure eligibility, and therefore your eligibility for an interview. If your licensure status is not clear or cannot be determined based on the information you have provided, you may not be selected for an interview. The more information you can provide to help determine your license status, the better! Unofficial transcripts are acceptable to include with your application, and official transcripts are not required. We recommend uploading any completed test scores you may have as well (Praxis, VRA, VCLA, etc).
If you are unable to electronically attach transcripts (or other attachments) to your application yourself, you may submit hard copies to our office via the address below. Once received, we will scan/upload them to your application.
