CLINIC SPECIFICS
- Multi-specialty clinic includes: 6 Family Medicine with 4 advanced practitioners with Integrated Behavioral Health, Anesthesiology, Dermatology, Obstetrics/Gynecology, Occupational Medicine, Ophthalmology, Otolaryngology, Orthopedics, Consultative Pediatrics, General Surgery, and visiting specialties
- On-site Chronic Disease Management nursing support
- Nurse Online Triage 24/7
- EPIC integrated with Essentia system
HOSPITALIST SPECIFICS
- Essentia Health Virginia Hospital is an 83-bed hospital, Level IV Trauma Center and certified Stroke Ready facility
- Staffing model of 1 Physician and 1 Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) on days and 1 dedicated physician nocturnist
- Average team census 24-28 patients, includes admissions.
- Typical 7-day on, 7-day off schedule throughout the year; 175 shifts is considered full-time. Flexible scheduling
- Hospitalist-run ICU
- Requires ventilator management for 24-48hrs. Critical Care consults easily accessible.
- Additional subspecialty consults easily accessible via phone or telehealth
- 1 hour away from Essentia Health St. Mary’s Medical Center in Duluth, which is a Level I tertiary care hospital
- Procedures not required
- Full laboratory; radiology to include MRI and CT services
- Additional inpatient services: General Surgery, ENT, Orthopedic Surgery, Obstetrics/Gynecology
REQUIREMENTS
- BC/BE Internal Medicine or Family Medicine
- Essentia Health to provide mentorship
LOCATION
- Approx. 60 miles North of Duluth, MN.
- Service area: 30,000 – Virginia Population: 9,000
COMPENSATION
- $307,317 - $368,464. Hired candidates may be eligible to receive additional compensation in the form of bonuses, quality incentives or production-based compensation.
