Building Location: Essentia Virginia Hospital Department: 49820 Nutrition Services Job Description: The team lead is required to be an expert on all position in the Nutritional Service department and serves as the primary resource for team members to go to with questions and concerns regarding job-related duties. A consistent high performer who is a role model within the department. Must oversee daily operations within a department when the manager or supervisor is not present. Provide direction to team members using established policy and procedures. Escalate concerns to the next-level leader when necessary. Support the development of workflows, processes, and policies. Assist with employee orientation and/or training. Must attend staffing meetings. Completing miscellaneous department tasks that would otherwise be completed by the manager or supervisor. The team lead would be expected to be able to perform team lead responsibilities during all hours worked. While working as a lead, you must assist in providing high quality and nutritious foods to patients and customers through a variety of tasks necessary to the daily operation of the facility. This may include food service, food preparation, monitoring inventory, dishwashing tasks, general cleaning, and stocking of food service areas. Performs tasks related to the setup and service in the patient service area, including interacting with customers and cash handling. Education Qualifications: No educational requirement.
