Job Summary
As a Hardware Associate, you will play a crucial role in assisting customers with their hardware needs, providing exceptional service, and ensuring a positive shopping experience.
Duties
- Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system to process transactions
- Deliver outstanding customer service by addressing inquiries and offering product recommendations
- Handle cash transactions accurately while maintaining cash register integrity
- Demonstrate expertise in upselling products to enhance customer satisfaction
- Apply retail math skills to calculate prices, discounts, and totals
- Communicate effectively with team members and customers to ensure a seamless shopping experience
- Utilize basic math skills for inventory management and order processing
-Unload merchandise from truck.
-Stock shelves and organize store.
- Hours are Monday-Friday 8-5 Saturday 8-4:30.
Experience
- Previous experience in a retail environment is preferred
- Proficiency in using a cash register and POS system is advantageous
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well in a team setting are essential
- Knowledge of hardware products and tools is a plus
- Ability to multitask, prioritize tasks efficiently, and adapt to changing priorities
