Job Summary: As an optician, you will play a key role in delivering top-notch optical services to our patients. You will be responsible for fitting and dispensing eyewear, providing expert advice on lenses and frames, and ensuring that our patients receive personalized, high-quality care. This position requires a balance of technical skills, patient interaction, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

Key Responsibilities:

• Eyewear Fitting & Dispensing: Accurately fit and dispense eyewear based on patient prescriptions and individual needs. Adjust frames and lenses for optimal comfort and functionality.
• Patient Interaction: Provide excellent customer service by engaging with patients to understand their vision needs, answering questions, and offering recommendations with a compassionate approach.
• Technical Expertise: Assist in the selection of lenses and frames, providing guidance on various lens options, coatings, and special prescriptions.
• Innovative Solutions: Stay updated with the latest optical technology and trends. Implement new techniques and products to improve patient satisfaction and office efficiency.
• Education & Training: Educate patients on proper eyewear care and usage. Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance your skills and knowledge.
• Administrative Tasks: Manage patient records, process orders, and handle insurance claims with accuracy and efficiency.
• Team Collaboration: Work closely with other team members to ensure a seamless patient experience and contribute to a positive work environment.

Qualifications:

• Experience: Some experience as an optician or in a similar setting is a plus, but we will train the right person!
• Certification: willingness to obtain ABO/NCLE certifications
• Skills: Strong interpersonal skills, excellent communication, and a customer-focused mindset
• Technical Aptitude is a plus
• Education: High school diploma or equivalent
