What are the responsibilities and job description for the Fleet Manager position at 21 AIR LLC?
AIRCRAFT FLEET MANAGER Duties and Responsibilities:
The Fleet Manager reports directly to the Director of Operations and administratively to the Chief Pilot and has the responsibility to report facts and findings to the Director of Operations and Chief Pilot. Fleet Manager must be completely qualified to perform the numbered items below prior to occupying or being assigned this position. He or She is responsible for the following:
1. Overseeing and delegating operations engineering functions and monitoring the operational performance of their assigned fleet, participating in industry events related to product and operational reliability improvement and monitoring original equipment manufacturer (OEM) and vendor notices and data releases.
2.Reviewing available modifications for improvements of their assigned fleet.
3.Developing standard operating procedures for all aircraft operated by 21 Air.
4.Administering a Flight Standards system, which will ensure the ongoing quality and highest possible professional standards of 21 Air crews, as well as ensuring that all 21 Air
flying operations are conducted within the spirit and intent of CFR's.
5.Maintaining the content and currency of the operating manuals for their assigned fleet to include the following:
a. FCOM volumes 1 and 2
b. QRH
c. MEL
6.Participating in the company Safety Management System (SMS) in accordance with the responsibilities listed in the SMS Manual.
7.Maintaining training, checking, and qualification currency to serve as pilot in command and second in command.
8.Conducting applicable competency/proficiency checks in accordance with the authorizations contained within their Check Pilot Letter of Authorization.
9.Responsible for reviewing training and checking events to ensure standardization of policies and procedures.
10.Has the authority to establish and modify the policies, procedures, instructions, and information associated with Pilot Operating Limitations/Recent Experience, Airman Duties/Flightdeck Procedures, Appropriate Airmen Checks and Qualifications, Pilot Operating Limitations, Training of Flight Crewmembers, (including the Advanced Simulator Program), Check Pilot and Instructors.
11. Responsible for maintaining Aircrew Designated Examiner Program (ADP) and ensuring the primary objective of ensuring maximum safety of the public through the ADP.
12. Liaison with FAA Aircrew Designated Examiner (ADE) and APM, ensuring all reports are filed in timely manner.
13.Working with the DO and Chief Pilot ensure quality candidates are provided for the APD program.
14.Updating as required of the ADP training materials and requirements.
15. Performing other duties as assigned
