Food Runner/Busser
As a Food Runner/Busser, you will be an integral part of our restaurant's service team, ensuring that guests have a memorable dining experience by delivering food promptly, clearing tables efficiently, and maintaining a clean and organized dining area. Your attention to detail, teamwork skills, and dedication to providing exceptional customer service will contribute to the overall success of our restaurant.
Food Running:
- Retrieve food orders from the kitchen and deliver them to the appropriate tables in a timely manner.
- Ensure that each dish is presented accurately and according to the guest's specifications.
- Communicate effectively with servers to coordinate the timing of food delivery and maintain a smooth service flow.
Table Clearing and Resetting:
- Clear tables of used dishes, glassware, and utensils promptly after guests finish their meals.
- Wipe down tables and chairs to remove crumbs and spills, ensuring a clean and inviting dining environment.
- Reset tables efficiently with clean tableware, linens, and condiments for the next guests.
Assisting Servers and Kitchen Staff:
- Support servers by refilling water glasses, delivering additional condiments or utensils, and addressing any guest requests promptly.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure that food orders are prepared and delivered accurately and efficiently.
- Assist with basic food preparation tasks, such as plating desserts or garnishing dishes, as needed.
Maintaining Cleanliness and Organization:
- Sweep and mop floors regularly to keep the dining area clean and free of debris.
- Empty trash receptacles and replace garbage bags as needed.
- Assist with cleaning and sanitizing surfaces, including tables, chairs, and high-touch areas, to maintain a hygienic environment.
Customer Service:
- Greet guests warmly and assist them with seating or any initial inquiries.
- Respond to guest requests and inquiries courteously and professionally.
- Anticipate guest needs and provide assistance proactively to enhance their dining experience.
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a food runner, busser, or in a similar role preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining cleanliness and organization.
- Team player with a positive attitude and willingness to assist others.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
Salary:
The salary for this position will be competitive and based on experience.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $15.50 - $17.00 per hour
