21 Plus is a well-established non-profit organization dedicated to providing diversified opportunities to enhance the quality of life for people with disabilities since 1979. We are currently looking for dedicated and caring individuals to fill the following position:
Instructor - Adult Training Center
Summary:
Shares responsibility for and assists the Vocational Program Administrator with the overall operation and quality of the adult training center as a floating staff for both of our centers. Provides supervision and training to individuals with developmental disabilities to become contributing members of their community while maintaining quality programs by working cooperatively with peers and community, performing assigned duties and communicating critical participant information. This staff will help with bathroom, covering groups, lunch times, working with all the group in center and community if and when needed.

You must have and use sound judgment and tact and be able to effectively communicate with individuals with disabilities. You must be able to pass all background checks including: Drug screen, physical, PPD, fingerprints, DMV.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School Diploma/GED (Verifiable)
- Must be at least 18 years old
- A valid NJ driver's license with an acceptable record of safe driving
- Able to pass all background check procedures
- Must be able to handle emergency situations appropriately (according to 21 Plus, Inc. and DDD policies)
- Must be fully Crisis Management Trained and certified within the first 90 days of employment.
- Must be able to be recertified on an annual basis.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.51 - $21.01 per hour
Expected hours: 35 – 40 per week
