The hourly range listed is an estimate. Pay at Cardinal Health is determined by multiple factors including, but not limited to, a candidate’s geographical location, relevant education, experience and skills and an evaluation of internal pay equity.
Schedule: Monday through Friday from 11:00 am to 7:30 pm
Warehouse Operations is looking for a MHE Training Lead to work directly with our team members, to train, support, and sustain a solid training program within the operation.
This role will be responsible for the overall success of the training program with a focus on training our team members use of Powered Industrial Trucks for use into their day-to-day job responsibilities. This person must embrace our positive culture, demonstrate our values, have excellent communication skills, and enjoy learning new things and solving problems in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
Responsibilities
- Lead training sessions
- Coordinate and manage training schedule based on candidate progress accordingly
- Perform and maintain “On the Job” training/certifications for continual education
- Develop/Maintain a comprehensive training plan
- Maintain and update training materials as needed to aid in the educational process
- Educate new PIT operators on standard operating procedures within their work area accordingly
- Train on all methods of Material Handling Equipment
- Coordinate and conduct job shadowing initiatives
- Work with the supervisors to conduct impromptu training for those individuals that have fallen below metric expectations
- Performing Job Safety Observations
- Performing safety audits (such as: Dock safety, Racking, MHE charging stations, lanyard/harness)

- Demonstrates expert understanding of all levels of the job family and has thorough knowledge of jobs outside area of responsibility
- Knowledge or experience working with Manhattan and IBS.
- Takes the lead in effectively applying new processes and skills in accomplishing assignments
- May provide technical guidance and training to others
- Maintains appropriate licenses, training and certifications
- Works on complex problems that require independent action and a high degree of initiative to resolve issue
- Makes recommendation for new or revised processes and has a role on the implementation
- Adheres to all quality guidelines
Qualifications
- Training experience is strongly preferred
- 2-3 years MHE experience preferred
- Knowledge or experience working with Microsoft Office Suite
- Proactive and effective communication and engagement skills
- Excellent time management skills and ability to plan and prioritize multiple activities with keen attention to details
- Ability to build and maintain strong relationships
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Comfort working with heights 20-30 ft regularly
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Experience working with technologies, like computers or point of sale systems, a plus
- Ability to bend, reach, stoop, lift and stand for entire shift
- Ability to follow direction and change priorities
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- High School Diploma/GED preferred
