Job Summary: We are seeking a motivated and experienced Mid-Level Business Development Representative to join our team. This role focuses on generating new business, nurturing client relationships, and driving revenue growth through security system sales and recurring monthly revenue (RMR) contracts. The ideal candidate has a proven track record in sales, a strong understanding of the security industry, and excellent communication skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the multi-family real estate, local and state government, and K-12 / Higher Education sectors.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, partners, and key stakeholders.
- Present and sell low voltage systems, including installation projects, monitoring services, and maintenance contracts.
- Achieve and exceed revenue targets of $750,000–$1.5 million annually.
- Secure $10,000–$20,000 in new RMR annually by closing monitoring and service agreements.
- Prepare and deliver compelling sales presentations and proposals.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure seamless project execution and customer satisfaction.
- Maintain accurate records of sales activities, client interactions, and pipeline progress in CRM software.
Qualifications:
- 3–5 years of experience in business development, sales, or account management, in the security alarm, low voltage or technology sectors.
- Strong knowledge of security systems, alarm monitoring, and RMR sales strategies.
- Proven ability to meet or exceed sales targets and quotas.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Self-motivated with strong organizational and time-management abilities.
- Proficient in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel as needed.
- Interest in entrepreneurial, high growth companies versus corporate environment.
