Duties
- Install, maintain, and repair alarm systems, including fire alarms and security alarms.
- Conduct thorough inspections to detect issues or malfunctions in alarm systems.
- Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to ensure proper installation.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively to complete installations and repairs.
- Collaborate with clients to understand their needs for alarm system sales.
- Provide technical support and training to clients on the operation of their alarm systems.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards during all installations.
Requirements
- Proven experience as an Alarm Technician or similar role in the electrical field.
- Strong knowledge of alarm systems, including Vista, Silent Knight, and Fire-Lite.
- Proficiency in using voltmeters and other diagnostic tools.
- Ability to read blueprints and schematics accurately.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills for effective client interactions.
- Familiarity with fire alarm sales and alarm system sales is a plus.
- NICET I or II certification is a tremendous plus.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
