EPIC Support Specialist-Clinic (Registration)

Position: Epic Support Specialist # Clinic (Registration) Location: Various locations within Northwest Indiana; travel required # Job Summary: The EPIC Support Specialist displays an advanced understanding of the EPIC electronic medical record system and the#organization#s specific office workflows.# The ESS is responsible for teaching and training newly hired Registration and/or Clinical staff within the organization.#The specialist is expected to travel to the new hire#s home office during the duration of training.##The specialist will provide direct support during the pre-implementation process and also post-go live support as assigned.# The Epic Support Specialist may perform front desk duties and/or clinical tasks as applicable and as assigned within the organization#s physician practices. # # # # Education/ Experience Requirements: ####### High School graduate or GED equivalent required ####### Previous experience with EPIC electronic medical record system required. ####### Proficiency with Windows based desktop application is required. ####### The Epic Support Specialist must possess excellent attitude, interpersonal skills, and communication abilities necessary to interact with patients, family members, physicians, and other organization#associates. ####### Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast paced environment is required. ####### Basic understanding of medical documentation and terms; ability to spell accurately; able to accurately record information. ####### Must be able to act calmly and effectively in a busy or stressful situation. ####### Flexible schedule and travel will be required. ####### If performing as Clinical Support:# Successful completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program required## OR## active current certification as a Registered Medical Assistant or Certified Medical Assistant required; Six months# previous experience as a Medical Assistant preferred; Must maintain current CPR certification and TB certification. # # # #
