- Ohio Dialysis Technician Certification Job Responsibilities :
- Prepare dialysate and follow patient prescriptions / protocols.
- Obtain and document pre-dialysis vital signs (weight, temperature).
- Inspect dialysis access and initiate dialysis per prescription.
- Adjust blood flow rates, administer anticoagulants, and manage fluid removal as per protocols.
- Monitor and document patient vital signs and treatment parameters.
- Respond to dialysis-related emergencies (e.g., hypotensive episodes, needle displacement, etc.), and initiate CPR if necessary.
- Discontinue dialysis, establish hemostasis, and clean / access the dialysis site as per protocol.
- Obtain post-dialysis vital signs, record data, and ensure sterilization.
- Maintain professional conduct, confidentiality, and compliance with all regulations (CMS, HIPAA, OSHA).
