About the Position
We are currently hiring for a Correctional Mental Health Nurse position at our Lebanon, Ohio location. As a Correctional Mental Health Nurse, you will be responsible for providing professional nursing care to inmates, juvenile offenders, or consumers housed in state-owned/operated facility/institution &/or staff.
- Key Responsibilities:
- Provides professional nursing care to inmates, juvenile offenders, or consumers housed in state-owned/operated facility/institution &/or staff.
- Observes, assesses & records symptoms, reactions & progress of infirmary patients &/or clinic out-patients.
- Makes nursing rounds, takes & records vitals, prepares & administers prescribed medications & ordered treatment plans &/or immunizations.
- Monitors restrained (e.g., lock-ups, detention, isolated) patients on timely basis & provides immediate medical attention to emergencies.
- Schedules, assigns & reviews work of lower-level staff (e.g., RNs, LPNs).
