What are the responsibilities and job description for the Packing Operator position at 22nd Century Limited, LLC?
NASCO Products a 22nd Century Group subsidiary is looking for an experienced Cigarette Packing Operator responsible for operating packing machines (X-1, X-2, and Focke) on the production floor. Maintain all necessary production records, quality checks, and waste documentation in accordance with work instructions. Accountable for performing machine and area cleaning in a safe and efficient manner as prescribed by company safety rules and operating procedures.
The hours for this role are Monday - Thursday 5:30am-4:00pm. Fridays and OT as needed for production.
The essential functions of this job are:
- Load and unload material on X-1, X-2, and Focke packing machines, conveyors, and conveyances
- Operate packing machinery used in the production process in a safe manner
- Work with packing mechanics by identifying machine issues and material problems as necessary
- Perform quality checks and inspect products to verify conformance to quality standards
- Verify materials and product according to product specifications
- Keep work area clean and orderly
- Monitor waste
- Any other duties assigned by manager

Required Qualifications of this job are:
- Must be 21 years of age
- High School Diploma or GED with at least 2 years of relevant operator experience required
- Strong written and verbal English communication skills
- Detail oriented and Strong time management and organizational skills
- Ability to make good decisions independently with good judgement
