Job Description:
- This position will be focused on the design and deployment of digital motion systems including, but not limited to: robot programming, working with outside vendors for turnkey systems, and deployment/maintenance of data collection and monitoring equipment.
- Evaluates manufacturing processes by designing and conducting research programs; applying knowledge of product design, programming, assembly, tooling, and materials
- Develops manufacturing processes and designs by studying product requirements; researching, designing, modifying, and implementing manufacturing methods and equipment.
- Optimization of process and consulting with process engineers on a “design for manufacturability” approach
- Understands and minimize both technical process variability and human process variability
- Participates in Design and NC Programming and maintaining revision control for processes and designs
- Improves manufacturing efficiency by analyzing and planning work flow, space requirements, and equipment layout.
- Provides manufacturing decision-making information by calculating production, labor, and material costs; reviewing production schedules; estimating future requirements.
- Coordinates with outside vendors on development and design of turn-key automated systems.
- Regular, consistent and punctual attendance is required. May need to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) and additional hours as necessary
- Excellent ability to apply a systematic and analytical approach to problem solving
- Experience with 3D Solid Modeling and Simulation Software
- NC/Robot Programming experience preferred
- Advanced knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma or other continuous improvement
- Ability to explain a range of complex technical information
- Effective interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills to drive tasks to completion
- Adaptable to changing requirements and situations
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and database management tools
- Bachelor degree in Engineering or equivalent combination of relevant education and work experience that will allow successful performance of job expectations
- Years’ Experience: 3 - 5 years of relevant experience in manufacturing environment.
