Job Description:
- We are seeking an experienced, hands-on Helpdesk Manager to lead our dynamic desktop support team serving 7,000 users.
- The ideal candidate will have proven experience in queue management, VIP support,
- Asset Management and leading technical teams in fast-paced environments.
- 3 years of IT Asset Management experience at an Enterprise level.
- A Certification with 2 years in desktop support experience to include configuration, maintenance, deployment and repair of software and computer assets, user account maintenance, data backup, and inventory move/add/change procedures.
- Personal vehicle use is a part of this role, and will be reimbursed at standard State mileage rates.
- This role will complete a site-wide inventory for Dallas County, interfacing with points of contact to efficiently and professionally conduct site visits and notify of upcoming contacts to the userbase via phone and other communication methods.
- Measure and analyze performance of asset technicians conducting inventory, ensuring efficiency, accurate record completions, and managing the flow of inventory data.
- Apply computer lifecycle and software standards per Dallas County policy.
- Ensure completion of work orders in the ITSM/ITAM Ivanti ticket management system.
- Update asset status and assignment in the ITSM/ITAM Ivanti ticket management system.
- Supervises, schedules, and leads asset technicians to deploy hardware and software installations per Dallas County procedure.
- Monitors asset management ticket workload, purchase orders, receiving, stock processing, and asset deployments.
- Apply computer imaging and required software installation per Dallas County guidelines.
- Experience with Ivanti (or equivalent) ITSM/ITAM software.
- Excel proficiency to include tables, pivot tables, various formula functions, and ability to digest and disseminate data.
- Effective at building and maintaining cross functional relationships.
- Well organized, detail oriented, and able to work in a high-volume high-energy environment.
Education:
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
- A Certification required.
- ITIL Certification required.
- IAITAM certification (CHAMP/CAMP/CITAD) preferred.
