Job Description:
- The provided Food Service Workers will prepare and cook complex menu items under general supervision, assist in supervising the cleaning of kitchen and food-serving areas, and ensure compliance with safety and sanitation regulations.
- They will be proficient in large-scale food preparation and service, with the ability to follow recipes, maintain high safety standards, and work in high-temperature environments.
- This second-level food service position. Will receive general supervision in preparing and cooking more complex menu items.
- Participate and assists in supervising the cleaning of the kitchen and food serving areas.
- Knowledge of standard kitchen procedures and sanitation guidelines. Ability to prepare more complex menu items.
- 1-2 years of work experience. (Substitutions may be allowed).
- Knowledge of materials, methods, and equipment used in preparing food on a large scale, and the use and care of utensils and equipment.
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations.
- Ability to cook large quantities.
- Ability to read and follow recipes.
- Ability to comprehend and follow instructions.
- Ability to maintain standards of safety and sanitation.
- Ability to work with department employees in the preparation and service of food.
- Ability to communicate effectively.
- Ability to work long hours while standing and under conditions of high temperature.
