Job Description:
- Client seeking a qualified contractor to support its established Building Automation Systems (Client) team. The selected provider will complement CPS's inhouse efforts by managing complex technical systems, enhancing operational efficiency, and ensuring uninterrupted functionality across 357 facilities.
- With responsibilities ranging from maintaining diverse Client platforms to assisting with cybersecurity, data analysis, and capital project integration, the contractor will play a critical role in supporting CPS's goals of providing safe, healthy, and efficient environments for students and staff.
- The unique complexity of CPS's infrastructure necessitates expertise in managing various platforms, providing advanced technical support, and contributing to ongoing improvements.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Building Automation Systems (Client) Support Platform Expertise: Manage CPS's seven distinct Client platforms and pneumatic systems, each with unique user interfaces and training requirements:
- JCI Metasys.
- ALC Web Ctrl.
- Alerton Compass.
- Distech Tridium.
- KMC Tridium.
- Schneider Tridium.
- Siemens Desigo CC.
- Siemens Desigo Optic.
- Legacy Pneumatic Systems.
- Perform retro-commissioning, setpoint scheduling, and critical alarm resolution.
- Provide ongoing operational support, including Measurement & Verification (M&V), data validation, and troubleshooting.
- Deploy and manage Zero Trust cybersecurity measures across CPS's Client network.
- Maintain secure integration between IT and OT systems, protecting critical infrastructure.
- Collaborate with the Energy and Sustainability (E&S) team to implement demand response programs and utility rebate initiatives.
- Identify and execute energy conservation measures (ECMs) and monitor ROI.
- Partner with the Capital Project Team to review and contribute to large-scale projects, ensuring alignment with Client standards and best practices.
- Analyze and interpret engineering documents, including control drawings, network diagrams, and sequences of operation, to ensure proper implementation of design intent.
- Weekly data analysis for identifying operational inefficiencies and enabling proactive maintenance.
- Develop predictive models to optimize resource allocation and improve system longevity.
- Establish cost-saving procurement strategies for essential parts and systems.
- Act as a liaison between CPS and third-party vendors to ensure consistency, reduce costs, and improve efficiency.
- Provide custom OT and Client training programs for CPS staff to build in-house expertise.
- Train building engineers and zone chiefs on Client functionality, ECM implementation, and troubleshooting.
- Organize and lead various meetings for the CPS Client team, including vendor coordination, technology deployment, and progress reviews.
- Drive action items, provide updates, and ensure alignment across stakeholders during weekly and monthly discussions.
- Lead innovative pilot programs, including smart pneumatic solutions and IoT retrofits.
- Recommend and implement scalable, cost-effective retrofit strategies for legacy systems.
- Assist CPS in identifying and securing federal and state funding for Client and OT projects.
- Support grant writing efforts and compliance with funding requirements.
Required Skills:
- Proven experience with the nine platforms listed above, including JCI Metasys, Siemens Desigo CC/Optic, and pneumatic systems.
- Expertise in IT/OT integration, cybersecurity, and compliance standards.
- Strong project management skills with a track record of implementing energy-saving measures.
- Ability to coordinate with multiple stakeholders, including internal teams and external vendors.
- Demonstrated success in grant writing and federal funding procurement.
