What are the responsibilities and job description for the Event Set Up position at 24 Carrots Catering & Events?
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Uphold the high standards of 24 Carrots’ handbook and policies
- Maintain safety and organization in the warehouse
- Inventory all tables, chairs, and cooking equipment
- Run items at any given time to an event during shift
- Safely strap and pack items on trucks
- Organize and inventory all third-party rentals
- Ensure items sent to events are clean and not broken
- Full understanding of how to load truck and to properly level out load
- Organize the set crew area at end of shift
- Gas all vehicles when necessary
- Responsible for company credit card and turning in all receipts when the card is used
- Read and understand all banquet event orders
- Organize, clean and stock warehouse items
- Stay on task and work effectively
- Set up staffed and corporate events when necessary
- Take mandatory 30 minute lunch break when working anything over 6 hours or notify supervisor
- Unload all corporate and staffed event vehicles.

Education and/or Experience
- No prior experience or training required
- Reliable transportation and clean driving record required
- ServSafe certification within 30 days of hire.
Language Skills
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos
- Ability to write simple correspondence
- Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization
- Ability to speak and understand English.
Mathematical Skills
- Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10’s and 100’s.
Reasoning Ability
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one- or two-step instructions
- Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables.
