A Personal Care Worker/Home Health Aide provides essential support to individuals who may have difficulties managing their daily activities due to age, illness, disability, or other circumstances. Here’s a general outline of their typical responsibilities:
Job Description:
- Assisting with Personal Hygiene: Helping clients with bathing, grooming, dressing, and other hygiene needs.
- Household Tasks: Performing light housekeeping duties such as cleaning, laundry, and meal preparation.
- Mobility Support: Aiding clients with mobility, including transfers, walking assistance, and transportation to appointments.
- Medication Reminders: Ensuring clients take their medications on time (as directed by healthcare professionals).
- Companionship: Offering emotional support, engaging in meaningful conversations, and accompanying clients on activities.
- Monitoring Health: Keeping an eye on clients' physical and emotional well-being and reporting changes to family or healthcare professionals.
