THE ROLE:

Role Summary:

The Care Specialist plays a key role in supporting our community of individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD). Working closely with customers, providers (DSPs), and county or brokerage-based case workers, you will help ensure the highest quality of care and service. The goal is to empower individuals to become the best versions of themselves while fostering an enjoyable and supportive experience. As front-line support, Care Specialists are instrumental in maintaining customer and provider satisfaction.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Manage customer and provider needs to ensure both administrative and service requirements are met.
  • Build and maintain strong, positive relationships with customers, providers, and caseworkers, addressing questions and concerns promptly and professionally.
  • Conduct monthly check-in calls with customers and providers to ensure ongoing satisfaction and progress.
  • Document interactions with customers and providers accurately in daily support notes.
  • Maintain up-to-date demographic profiles for customers and providers to ensure accuracy.
  • Provide ongoing training and support to providers, ensuring they meet customer needs effectively.
  • Create and update quarterly reports, including protocol approvals, training updates, and tracking of customer outcomes.
  • Send personalized birthday cards to customers and providers to enhance relationship-building.
  • Continuously review and improve internal procedures to ensure quality and efficiency.
  • Complete other administrative tasks as assigned.

This is an onsite position, reporting into the Newburg office 5 days a week.


WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE:

Skills:

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, organization, and time management.
  • Ability to handle high-volume workloads with professionalism.
  • Problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to critical situations.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and other Windows-based applications.
  • Ability to adapt to changing needs while maintaining priorities.
  • Commitment to teamwork and collaboration.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 1 year office experience
  • Minimum 1 year customer service experience.
  • Must pass a motor vehicle report and federal background check.
  • Passion for supporting the I/DD community.
