Local or Travel Caregiver Contract Assignment - West Virginia Psychiatric / Behavioral Health Hospitals
Are you an experienced Caregiver seeking an exciting opportunity to explore new locations while delivering quality care? Look no further! We have an excellent full-time Caregiver / Health Service Worker (HSW) contract available at a psychiatric Hospital in West Virginia.
Position : Caregiver, Health Service Worker. CNA license is not required, but are also encouraged to apply.
Location : Huntington, WV or Weston, WV
Shift : Must be open to any shift. Will get assigned shift during orientation. Mandation is possible.
Weston, WV Shifts : 12 or 16 hr shifts.
Huntington, WV Shifts : 8, 12, or 16 hour shifts.
Length : 6 months
Start : 11 / 4 Start dates are generally every other Monday. Orientation is about two weeks long and occurs during business hours.
You can not miss any orientation.
Responsibilities :
- Provide direct daily care to residents of the psychiatric hospital facility
- Monitor and report any health changes to LPN or RN
- Monitor and document patient progress and vital signs
Requirements :
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum of 1 year of direct care experience, preferably in a behavioral health care setting
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational and time management abilities
- Must pass a 10-panel drug screen and alcohol screen prior to start
- Must pass criminal background check. No felonies. Must receive WV Cares clearance
- Valid Driver's license
