24-Hour Medical Staffing Services, LLC is hiring an experienced Telemetry (Tele) Registered Nurse (RN) to join our growing team of healthcare professionals.
Job Overview:
- Job Title: Telemetry (Tele) Registered Nurse (RN)
- Location: Bakersfield, California
- Type of Assignment: Contract (13 weeks)
- Start Date: 3/17/2025
- Shift: 3x12 Hours, 36 hours per week
- Shift Hours: 19:00 - 07:30
- Pay Rate: $2,300 - $2,500 per week
Qualifications:
- Valid California License
- BLS Certification (must be through American Heart Association - AHA)
- ACLS Certification (must be through American Heart Association - AHA)
- NIHSS certification
- Minimum 3-year recent experience as a RN Telemetry in an acute care hospital
- Must have Cerner experience
- Previous travel experience is required
- Types of patients: Non-STEMI, R/O MI & ACS, neuro intervential radiology patients, carotid stents, carotid endarterectomy post ICU, high-risk stroke/renal patients, S/P cranies from ICU, get all r/o stroke, CVA, TIA. Designated unit for stroke. If can't go to ICU they go to this unit. Annual stroke competency through APEX. IF traveler is on an assignment on the unit during annual competency time, they will get to do this. Higher acuity/higher risk patients. Come from ER, ICU, or MedSurg that have a change in acuity requiring high level of care. Occasionally from outreach facilities that need higher level of care. Send & receive pts from cath lab. Titrate heparin. Titrate Amiodarone & Cardizem. Dopamine & Dobutamine set rates. No nitro. Would be helpful if have stepdown experience. They do not have a stepdown unit here.
- Floating: Tele staff will float to med/surg, the other tele unit & could be floated to ICU. If floated to ICU traveler will be given patients with appropriate level of acuity. They will get orientation to the ICU.
