Our client, an integrated media agency, is looking to bring on an Assistant Media Specialist. This role can be 100% remote, EST/CST hours, and set to start as soon as possible. This person must have: 1 year in agency environment in admin or operational role, strong excel capabilities, and attention to detail.
Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Assistant Media Specialist to support the planning, execution, and reporting of retail media campaigns across platforms such as Amazon Ads, Walmart Connect, and Target Roundel. The ideal candidate will have a foundational understanding of digital marketing principles and
strong organizational skills to assist with day-to-day campaign management and analysis. This role offers an excellent opportunity to grow within the dynamic and evolving retail media space.
Responsibilities:
Plan, execute, and optimize paid search campaigns across retail media platforms, including Walmart Connect, Target Roundel, Criteo, Amazon Ads and more..

Perform daily campaign pacing and optimizations, including managing budgets, keyword bids, bid strategies, bid multipliers, and placement adjustments.

Oversee Amazon Sponsored Ads management, ensuring campaigns align with client goals and achieve KPIs such as ROAS and sales lift.

Pull search terms reports regularly to evaluate keyword performance, recommending additions or negatives based on their impact on KPIs.

Develop and manage budget forecasts, ensuring appropriate allocation of funds across campaigns to maximize performance.

Aggregate and analyze paid search data for recurring client reports, ensuring clarity and actionable insights.

Produce and present client-facing reports on a monthly, quarterly, and semi-annual basis, showcasing campaign performance and optimization strategies.

Work closely with internal teams to align search strategies with overall media objectives and broader campaign goals.

Stay informed about platform updates, industry trends, and best practices in paid search to continually refine campaign strategies.
Requirements:
- Assist in the setup, monitoring, and optimization of retail media campaigns across platforms, ensuring alignment with client goals and performance benchmarks.
- Support daily campaign pacing and optimization efforts, including monitoring budgets, keyword bids, and bid strategies.
- Track media spending across multiple vendors against pre-approved budgets, stewarding financial success for clients.
- Pull and review search term reports, recommending additions or negative keywords based on performance.
- Aggregate performance data for recurring client reports, providing actionable insights in collaboration with senior team members.
- Assist in the preparation of client-facing presentations, including monthly and quarterly reporting.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless integration of creative assets, tracking codes, and campaign settings.
- Stay updated on retail media platform updates and best practices to enhance campaign performance.
- Help maintain organized records of campaign performance, budgets, and optimization efforts.
- Coordinate team schedules and support the execution of special projects or test-and-learn initiatives.
Requirements:
- 1 years of experience in digital marketing, retail media, or related fields, with internships or academic projects being highly valued.
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field (recent graduate preferred).
- Experience with campaign execution or reporting in platforms like Amazon Ads or Walmart Connect is a plus.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel (Microsoft Office Specialist Certification in Excel is a plus).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Eagerness to learn and grow within the retail media space.
