Our client is a Global Multi-Brand Beauty company that has experienced rapid double-digit growth almost every year since its founding. They are looking for a new Demand Planning Manager to join their team in NYC!
POSITION SUMMARY
- The Manager of Demand Planning is responsible for all Demand Planning processes for designated brands.
- This role works in partnership with Marketing and Sales to ensure short- and long-term alignment across cross-functional teams.
- Incorporate information gathered from Sales and Marketing, with historical trend, to create a rolling 36- month demand plan at the customer/item level.
- Manage end to end product lifecycle from product launch to discontinuation.
- Monthly planning KPI reporting both for internal and corporate purposes.
- Key participant in the cross-functional monthly inventory meetings.
- Develop and improve all current reports and forecasting tool.
- Following key trends (POS) to ensure demand plan is incorporating trends as necessary.
ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Develop the Demand Plan with inputs from customer, history, external factors and trends to meets sales forecast accuracy goal.
- Review historical sales trends, research demand drivers, prepare forecast data and evaluate forecast variances versus actual demand. Provide corrective actions.
- Call out risk and opportunities for Demand Plan - work closely with supply team, review CNL Inventory levels, CNL Service Level Reports and call out risk/opp for adjusted demand plan
- Monitor key forecast metrics with the objective to continuously reduce forecast error.
SHORT-TERM GOALS
- Work with Supply Planning Manager to develop Supply forecast and orders
- Improve current monthly KPI reporting – Corporate & North America
- Suggest SKU Rationalization based on SKU performances
FUTURE GOALS
- Manage relationships with customer replenishment managers to ensure robust communications and collaborative planning.

- Advanced Excel skills working with large volumes of data, data management and reporting.
- Experience with a Demand Planning System (preferably Smoothie/Netstock)
- SAP experience a plus
- QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
- 5 years of business experience (preferably in CPG industry) with at least 3 years of demand planning experience
- Bachelors Degree – Preferably Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, Engineering or similar field
- MBA is a plus
