Experiential Art Director / Associate Creative Director
Location: Mundelein, IL (Hybrid – Must Be Local)
Start Date: March/April
Salary: $90,000 – $120,000 (Based on experience)
About the Role:
We are seeking a dynamic and visionary Experiential Art Director / Associate Creative Director (ACD) to lead immersive brand experiences and deliver high-impact creative solutions. This role requires a hands-on leader with a strong background in experiential marketing, environmental design, and brand storytelling who can bring concepts to life across live events, activations, and multi-sensory experiences.
As a hybrid role based in Mundelein, IL, this position requires a local candidate who can collaborate onsite with cross-functional teams, clients, and vendors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conceptualize and execute innovative experiential marketing campaigns, activations, and branded environments
- Lead design strategy for large-scale events, trade shows, retail experiences, and pop-ups
- Work closely with cross-disciplinary teams including strategists, designers, copywriters, and producers to develop and execute creative visions
- Oversee visual storytelling, environmental design, and digital integrations to create immersive experiences
- Collaborate with clients and stakeholders to ensure brand consistency and creative alignment
- Direct and mentor creative teams, ensuring high-quality execution from concept to completion
- Stay ahead of industry trends in experiential design, emerging tech, and audience engagement strategies
- Partner with production teams to source materials, build prototypes, and execute final deliverables
Qualifications & Experience:
- 5 years of experience in experiential marketing, event design, or environmental branding
- Proven ability to conceptualize, pitch, and execute experiential campaigns
- Strong background in 3D/spatial design, environmental graphics, and digital engagement
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign), SketchUp, Cinema 4D, or similar tools
- Experience leading multidisciplinary teams and collaborating with clients/stakeholders
- Strong understanding of fabrication, production processes, and materials used in experiential design
- Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment while maintaining creative excellence
- Exceptional presentation, storytelling, and communication skills
