Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled Inventory Planner to lead our inventory strategy and drive financial performance. This role is responsible for developing and executing assortment and inventory plans, supporting sales and margin goals through effective inventory management.
About the Role:
- Develop and execute assortment and inventory plans to optimize stock levels and reduce waste
- Analyze trends and historical data to identify risks and opportunities in the market
- Forecast sales and inventory needs at the collection and SKU level to ensure accurate stock levels
- Manage open-to-buy, inventory flow, and vendor relationships to minimize disruptions
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, especially Merchandising, to align on inventory strategies
- Support key business initiatives and special projects to drive growth and profitability
- Mentor team members and assist with onboarding to develop talent and improve processes
Requirements:
- 3–5 years of inventory planning experience with a strong track record of success
- Supervisory experience preferred, with a proven ability to lead and motivate teams
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions
- Proficiency in Excel and the ability to learn new systems quickly
- Experience in both eCommerce and retail channels is a plus, with a deep understanding of the complexities of each channel
