Manager, Product Development-Beauty-Northwest LA area

Our client is a color cosmetic brand in LA and they are looking for a PD manager who is currently working in color cosmetic product development and open to being on site full time in North West LA County/ Valley area.

Position

• Manage new formula development for color cosmetic categories.
• Drive development to meet new launch revenue goals by working closely with cross-functional team members on concept development, brief kickoff, formula development, testing, scale up and first production approvals.
• Responsible for meeting all performance and product positioning attributes outlined in the development brief.
• Partner with marketing throughout the development process to ensure alignment on new product launches.
• Must have a thorough understanding of raw materials and cosmetic chemistry to work hand-in-hand with formulators
• Working knowledge of primary packaging and manufacturing processes is a plus.

EXPERIENCE:

• EDUCATION: BA/BS
• MUST have 5-8 years in a Product Development role, color and skincare category experience is required
• Familiar with manufacturing setting contract manufacturers
• Experience working directly with R&D lab
• Knowledgeable about raw materials and formulation
• International travel as needed
