Job Opportunity : Design Assistant
The Design Assistant will support the Senior Designer and team in creating monthly market lines and managing clerical tasks with a high degree of confidentiality. This role is integral in ensuring smooth operations within the design team.
Key Responsibilities :
- Assist designers in sourcing specific fabrics and patterns.
- Create purchase orders (POs) and order fabrics from vendors.
- Organize clothing samples, fabrics, and maintain cutting ticket books.
- Prepare samples for scanning, sublimation, and courier shipments.
- Collaborate with patternmakers, CAD artists, and vendors to update pattern cards and complete Tech Packs.
- Manage line sheets, photograph and tag samples, and maintain style records.
- Follow up daily with vendors, dye houses, and coordinate mail requests.
- Problem-solve and communicate effectively with the team.
