Sweater Technical Designer (Freelance)
40-50/HR DOE
Onsite NYC 5 days
We are working on an exciting role for a contemporary brand looking to bring on a Womens Sweater Technical designer for the next 3 months.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Collaborates with Sweater design team to understand the design concept/ vision. Help set-up & release tech packs with development specs based on design references.
- Manage with proto fittings when needed and help relay fit comments to factories.
- Manage tech packs throughout the development process through pass-off to production
- Help with technical follow up through production.
- Daily communication with teams and overseas factories
BACKGROUND:
- 5 years sweater technical design experience within the apparel industry.
- Strong knowledge in sweater construction, finishing required.
- Excellent communication skills (written, verbal and interpersonal)
- Highly organized
- Leverages strong understanding of garment engineering, apparel factory operations.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Illustrator
