About the Role
We are seeking a highly experienced Technical Designer-Knits to join our team as a key member of our product development department. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating and updating technical packets for development and costing, ensuring that all details are commercially viable with the factories and are the most cost-effective.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in knit garment design and development, with a minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar role. They will also possess excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
The role involves working closely with the creative team on style development for men's and women's knit garments, reviewing samples and paper patterns from contractors for design accuracy and integrity, communicating fit comments to overseas and domestic vendors in a timely manner, and developing fabrics and providing guidance to fabric mills on changes.
As a Technical Designer-Knits, you will execute design and fit intent into bulk production while maintaining quality and cost standards, lead fit sessions, and ensure size and fit consistency within the brand and across product categories.
