Job Overview:
The Ulta Account Director will be responsible for managing and expanding our relationship with Ulta Beauty.This position requires a strategic, results-driven leader who will oversee sales, marketing initiatives, product launches, and overall brand presence within Ulta. The ideal candidate will possess strong business acumen, a deep understanding of the beauty industry, and experience building strong retailer relationships.
Key Responsibilities:
- Account Management:
- Build and nurture a strong, positive relationship with Ulta Beauty's merchandising and buying teams.
- Lead strategic business discussions with key stakeholders at Ulta to drive revenue growth, product placement, and brand visibility.
- Develop and execute annual account plans, sales targets, and KPIs for the Ulta account.
- Track sales performance, analyze trends, and identify growth opportunities to exceed targets.
- Sales & Strategy:
- Lead all aspects of the sales strategy for Ulta, including product assortments, pricing strategies, and promotional activities.
- Identify new business opportunities within Ulta and develop tailored strategies to introduce new product lines or expand the existing portfolio.
- Work closely with internal teams (Sales, Marketing, Operations, and Product Development) to ensure alignment and successful execution of initiatives.
- Brand Building & Marketing:
- Collaborate with Ulta's marketing team to plan and execute in-store and online campaigns, including promotions, product launches, and special events.
- Ensure consistent brand representation across all touchpoints, aligning with Ulta’s standards and expectations.
- Manage product sampling, beauty influencer partnerships, and in-store beauty events to drive consumer engagement.
- Market Insights & Reporting:
- Provide regular reports on sales performance, market trends, and competitor activity to senior leadership.
- Conduct market research and gather feedback to continuously refine strategies and drive business growth.
- Analyze Ulta’s performance metrics to optimize product placement, promotional strategies, and overall brand positioning.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Work closely with internal teams (Product Development, Marketing, Operations, Finance) to ensure effective communication and execution of account-specific strategies.
- Coordinate with external partners (agencies, influencers, PR) to support the brand’s presence within Ulta.
Qualifications:
- Experience:
- 5 years of experience in account management, sales, or business development within the beauty industry, with at least 3 years of experience managing major retail accounts (Ulta experience is strongly preferred).
- Proven track record of growing sales and building strong retailer relationships.
- Strong understanding of Ulta’s business model, product assortment strategies, and consumer behaviors.
- Skills & Abilities:
- MUST have 3 years managing the Ulta account
- Ideally have experience launching a brand at Ulta
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to influence key stakeholders.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret sales data and market trends.
- Creative problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically and execute tactically.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and experience with sales tools and CRM systems.
Salary : $130 - $150
