Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse - Telemetry to join our dynamic healthcare team. Duties
- Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms and vital signs of patients in the telemetry unit.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Educate patients and their families on health management, discharge instructions, and follow-up care.
- Perform various nursing procedures including specimen collection processing, spinal taps, and cardiac catheterization when necessary.
- Provide support in critical care transport for patients requiring specialized attention.
- Engage in home community care for patients transitioning from hospital to home settings.
- Participate in ongoing education and training opportunities related to pediatrics, geriatrics, occupational health, and medical imaging.
Requirements
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
- Experience in telemetry nursing or related critical care settings is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of cardiac monitoring systems and telemetry equipment.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to teach complex concepts to patients and families.
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team environment.
- Familiarity with protocols for critical care transport is an asset.
