Location:
Charlton, MA (85-90%)
Franklin, MA (10-15%) – generally once every two weeks
This role is 100% on-site.

Schedule:
Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM (with some flexibility)

Employment Type:
4-Month Contract

What You’ll Do:

As a Service Desk Specialist – Tier 2, you’ll serve as a key escalation point for technical support issues, offering hands-on expertise in:

  • Resolving incidents and service requests escalated from Service Desk Support Analysts or submitted via self-service.
  • Providing deskside support and delivering high-quality problem management.
  • Documenting solutions for internal Service Desk and business partner use.
  • Supporting hardware and software provisioning for new employees, imaging computers, and managing secure data processes.
  • Collaborating on exciting projects such as security enhancements (e.g., MFA implementation), office moves, and installing switches on racks.

What You Bring to the Role:

Must-Have Skills:

  • Advanced knowledge of:
    • Windows and Apple operating systems.
    • Active Directory and Microsoft Office Suite.
    • Ticketing systems, mobile devices, anti-virus/spyware tools.
    • Desktop and laptop hardware.
    • Peripherals like printers and desk phones.
  • Strong troubleshooting abilities with a customer-focused approach.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Organizational prowess with the ability to prioritize and execute high volumes of work under strict deadlines.

Desired Skills:

  • Familiarity with ITIL processes and framework (ITIL v3 or 2011 certification preferred).
  • Scripting knowledge (a plus).

Education & Certifications:

  • Associate’s Degree or equivalent experience.
  • Help Desk/Desktop Support technical certifications (preferred).
