Job Summary The successful Coordinator of Volunteer Services collaborates with the Manager to develop a program of recruitment and training of volunteers, coordinates their assignments with the members of the Interdisciplinary team and supervises their work. Accountabilities Actively recruits volunteers for the many different needs of the hospice department. 10% Assigns, oversees and evaluates the work/care delivered by patient care and office volunteers. 15% Participates in review of quality data and makes recommendations for improvement .5% Cultivates an ongoing relationship with the volunteer organizations in the community in order to educate them and develop support for hospice. 10% Prepares reports of volunteer activities and volunteer hours of service. 5% Uses listening skills that indicate understanding and promotes accurate interpretation of others' needs, concerns, motivation and feelings. 10% Seeks opportunities to collaborate and to keep all team members informed, including active participation in hospice interdisciplinary conferences and meetings. 15% Monitors and evaluates volunteer assignments and the effectiveness of the volunteer in providing assigned services. 10% Ensures that documentation of all volunteer services are recorded appropriately and tabulated correctly. 10% Arranges orientation and continuing education for all volunteers and arranges for specific training, based upon a patient specific need prior to making the assignment. 10% Minimum Education High School diploma or equivalent Minimum Experience 1 year - Working with volunteers where leadership and interpersonal skills have been demonstrated Required Certifications/Registrations/Licenses SCDL - SC DRIVERS LICENSE - LSCD Work Shift Day (United States of America) Location 1200 Colonial Life Blvd Facility 1522 Hospice - Midlands Department 12049035 Administrative and General Share your talent with us!
