About the Role
As Head of Engineering and Co-Founder at Flightline, you will be instrumental in shaping the company’s technological direction and driving its product vision. In this key leadership role, you’ll work closely with the CEO to develop our SaaS platform, define strategic objectives, and build a world-class engineering team. We’re looking for a dynamic leader with a passion for innovation and a proven track record of delivering impactful, technology-driven solutions.
Areas of Responsibility
- Collaborate closely with the CEO to architect our SaaS platform and set strategic goals for technology development.
- Own the full lifecycle of development for
- Build and nurture a talented team of software and data engineers, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous learning.
- Prioritize the unique needs of investment professionals, driving iterative development and delivering high-impact solutions tailored to their requirements.
- Maintain a high standard of engineering excellence by establishing best practices, conducting code reviews, and ensuring robust documentation.
Qualifications
Required:
- 6 years of experience in software engineering, with a focus on enterprise SaaS.
- Proven track record of leading engineering teams and delivering successful software projects.
- Strong technical background with expertise writing and deploying production code in JavaScript, Python, Node.js, Next.js, React, and Typescript.
- Experience with modern cloud architectures, such as Google Cloud Computing (GCP), Microsoft Azure, or Amazon Web Services (AWS).
- In-depth understanding of enterprise-grade data security and privacy principles, including encryption, data segregation, and compliance with relevant regulations (e.g., GDPR, SOC 2).
- Proven experience architecting and scaling SaaS solutions to handle large user bases, with a focus on multi-tenancy and performance optimization.
- Experience taking machine learning models or generative AI algorithms into production, with a focus on managing performance, scalability, and real-time integration in SaaS environments.
- Demonstrated ability to recruit, retain, and develop top engineering talent.
