We’re creating smarter logistics technology to help carriers and logistics providers reduce operational headaches and optimize freight movement. As we prepare for our next stage of growth, we’re seeking a hands-on Technical Co-founder with logistics expertise and a deep builder’s mindset to help take our product from MVP to industry leader.

Role Overview:

As the Technical Co-Founder, you’ll play a pivotal role in Offload’s journey from incubation to growth. You’ll not only shape our product vision but also build it—actively coding and architecting the solution while recruiting top talent to scale with us. This role is ideal for a startup-minded, experienced engineer and product strategist who thrives in a fast-paced, hands-on environment and brings logistics or supply chain expertise to bear on real-world challenges. We have a small team of engineers, they need the help and expertise of a product focused leader.

What You’ll Do:

• Strategic Product Development: Drive brainstorming and vetting sessions with customers for new product features, setting clear priorities and requirements based on deep industry insights.
• Design the Product: Take Offload from MVP to a scalable platform by owning feature scoping, architecture, coding key components, and overseeing design and feature development.
• Hands-on Engineering: Write code and refine product features that integrate mapping, routing, and data optimization to meet OS/OW logistics needs.
• Team Building and Leadership: Recruit, develop, and retain engineering talent, creating a high-performing team that aligns with Offload’s mission and standards.
• Budget and Timeline Ownership: Manage product budgets and timelines, balancing quality with speed as we expand and refine the platform.

What You’ve Done:

• Experienced Founder, Sr. Product/Engineer: Former startup CTO, Head of Engineering, or founding engineer, with a track record of taking a B2B product from concept to revenue, preferably also to scale.
• Technical Leadership in Growth: Scaled products and teams, ideally with logistics or supply chain software experience; managed multiple engineering teams in parallel.
• Full-Stack and Logistics Expertise: 7 years in full-stack engineering with strong knowledge of logistics, mapping, or routing systems.
• Product and Infrastructure Scalability: Built scalable systems, robust processes, and maintained high coding standards within startup environments.
• Networked and Trusted Leader: Known for industry credibility, adept at building relationships, assessing technical talent, and attracting engineers who thrive in early-stage environments.

Skills & Personal Characteristics:

• Strategic Communicator: Able to translate technical roadmaps into visual, digestible formats for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Industry Credibility: Broad insights and an expansive network in logistics, software, or related fields; ability to leverage relationships to accelerate product development.
• Builder’s Mentality: Comfortable being the only engineer on a project in the early stages, rolling up your sleeves to develop a working MVP.
• Entrepreneurial Spirit: Driven by solving real business problems, with a balance of confidence and humility to pivot or adapt as the business requires.
