Handyman Technician

Job Requirements:

• Must have a vehicle capable of carrying a 4x8 sheet of plywood. Our techs drive their own vehicles and need to have a basic set of tools. We provide fuel cards and cover basic vehicle maintenance.
• Must be a strong cultural fit, displaying trustworthiness, good communication skills, openness to feedback, and a positive demeanor.
• Must be comfortable with the absence of health insurance. We do, however, offer a 401(k) match, PTO, holiday pay, and options for short-term and long-term disability, life insurance, dental, vision, legal, and other optional benefits.
• Must be an excellent problem solver with experience in basic electrical work, plumbing, carpentry, flooring, drywall, painting, and other general repair skills.
• Valid Driver's license
• Ability to use mobile devices proficiently

PAY $25-$30 Plus overtime! (varys based on experience)

About us

• 25th Hour is a commercial handyman company. Founded in 2008, our company has been helping businesses maintain their facilities and resolve issues that come up in their commercial facilities. This can range from roofing, electric, plumbing or masonry. We do it all.

The Job

• This position is extremely hard to quantify mostly because it is a new and unique challenge everyday. Below is an example of a day for one of our techs.
• Most techs start around 09:00 and finish around 17;00 to 18:00, we do have three online meetings throughout the week, two at 08:00 and one at 07:30. All can be attended while you get ready for your day.
• Once you start your day you will be
• Heading to the office to get supplies or just to say hi!
• Heading to a Job, these are already set and stone and work needs to be done
• Heading to a quote, these are when we take pictures and document a possible job. Create a step by step of what will need to be done, the materials needed and put together a cost.
• How many will you be doing a day? That depends, some jobs are longer or shorter, some take two techs and sometimes we run into hiccups that take extratime.
• What kinds of things will you be doing? Well we will try to tackle just about anything! Plumbing, electrical, painting, drywall, flooring, welding, siding, water diversion and the list goes on and gets longer everyday!
• Do you have to have all these skills? No! Although we really would like to add more experience to our team there is one skill you really need to have! Problem solving, if you can youtube it you can do it. We really would like our techs to look for as much information as they can come up with a solution and bring it to our team leads to get their input. As your skill set grows, we ask that you help those around you learn and improve too!
• Schedule
• Normal-shift Monday-Friday- we do have some variation on our scheduling but try to be as consistent as we can
• Oncall- We do have a rotating on call schedule for emergency work orders.
• Overnights- We do occasionally get work orders where you will be onsite overnight.

Pay and Reimbursement

• Pay starts when you start your first Job and is paid until you finish your last!
• Fuel reimbursement
• Pay is every 2 weeks on the 15th and last day of the month

Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 – 50 per week
