We are seeking reliable and observant Security team members to join our team at 26Health. In this role, you will be responsible for safeguarding the building, ensuring the safety of our employees, visitors, and patients, and maintaining a secure environment. Additionally, you could be assigned to provide direct protection to secure the safety, security, and well-being of the CEO of 26Health.
The ideal candidates will have a strong sense of responsibility, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to respond calmly and effectively in emergency situations.
Additionally, this role will support Facilities per duties listed below.
Duties and responsibilities
Facilities:
- Building Security: Monitor the premises to ensure the safety and security of the building, employees, patients, and visitors. Patrol the facility regularly to detect any potential security risks or safety hazards.
- Access Control: Manage access to the building by monitoring entry and exit points, verifying credentials, and ensuring authorized individuals are allowed access while unauthorized individuals are denied entry.
- Surveillance: Operate security cameras and alarms, monitor security systems, and respond to any unusual activities. Document and report any security breaches or incidents.
- Emergency Response: Respond to emergencies, including medical, fire, and security incidents, and follow established emergency protocols. Assist in evacuations or lockdowns when necessary.
- Visitor Assistance: Provide excellent customer service by assisting visitors with directions, answering questions, and ensuring they are following security protocols.
- Incident Reporting: Prepare detailed incident reports on any security-related activities, accidents, or irregularities, and ensure proper documentation of all events.
- Enforcing Policies: Enforce company policies regarding safety and security, including building rules and procedures, and ensure all employees and visitors follow the established safety protocols.
- Collaboration with Law Enforcement: Collaborate with local law enforcement and emergency response teams as necessary in the event of a serious incident or security threat.
- Monitoring Suspicious Activity: Stay alert for any suspicious activity or persons and take appropriate action to de-escalate or report the situation.
- Grooming: As Security, your appearance and grooming are important in ensuring a positive first impression and reinforcing the trust and authority you represent within the organization. Attire should be clean, pressed, and well-maintained at all times.
- Performs other duties as required.
President/CEO:
- Personal Security: When assigned, provide direct protection to the CEO in various environments, including office settings, public events, business trips, and travel. Ensure the CEO's safety and privacy are maintained at all times.
- Risk Assessment: Conduct regular security assessments of locations where the CEO will be present, identifying potential risks and implementing necessary precautions. This includes monitoring local threats and adjusting security measures accordingly.
- Travel Security: Coordinate all travel logistics for the CEO, including private transportation, accommodations, and on-site security during business trips or events. Ensure all travel arrangements prioritize security.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the Security Manager, CEO's personal assistant, executives, and external law enforcement or security professionals to ensure seamless security operations. Provide regular updates to management regarding security status.
- Incident Response: React swiftly and efficiently to any security incidents, ensuring the CEO’s safety while following established protocols. Document incidents thoroughly and report them to the appropriate authorities when necessary.
- Confidentiality: Handle sensitive information related to the CEO's schedule, location, and other personal details with the utmost discretion and confidentiality.
Qualifications/Knowledge/Skills/Experience
- Proven experience in personal security or executive protection, preferably with C-suite or high-profile individuals.
- Strong knowledge of security systems, threat assessment, and risk management.
- Ability to make quick, effective decisions in high-pressure situations.
- Previous leadership or supervisory experience in a security setting.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work discreetly and professionally with senior executives.
- Valid security or law enforcement certifications as required by local laws.
- Physical fitness and the ability to remain alert during long hours of duty.
- Knowledge of security technology and systems (e.g., surveillance, alarm systems, access control).
Highly Preferred:
- Military or law enforcement background.
- Experience in threat assessment and mitigation.
- First Aid/CPR/AED certifications.
Working schedule
- Flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and occasional travel.
- On-call availability during non-office hours for emergency situations.
Physical requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, and be alert for extended periods of time.
- Ability to handle physical exertion during emergencies or high-risk situations.
