- Implement the district comprehensive counseling framework
- Provide quality counseling services including academic counseling/scheduling and emotional counseling
- Counsel, teach and work with a diverse population
- Work with incoming students and teachers around conflict mediation, bullying, peer mentors, and leadership training
- Develop positive, appropriate relationships with parents, staff and students and solve conflicts in a positive way
- Participation in staff development activities, staff meetings, and assigned duties
- Certification/Licensing as a School Counselor as required by Colorado Department of Education
- Master's degree in counseling or psychology
- 3-5 years experience as an high school counselor preferred
- An understanding of standards-based grading
- Knowledge of high school students' interests, needs, and abilities with a commitment and dedication to students and education
- Ability to work well with others
- Ability to meet the emotional and academic needs of all students
